Kelly Urtiaga is a Licensed Acupuncturist certified in the state of Texas by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is also certified in Clean Needle Technique by the Council of Colleges in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM). She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at Texas Health and Science University, where she obtained a Master’s of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Prior to her interest in TCM, she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology at St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX.
Kelly has always had a passion for helping others and becoming a healer. Her interest in TCM developed when she started seeking acupuncture treatment for headaches and insomnia, and experienced the benefits firsthand both physically and mentally. As a practitioner, her goal with acupuncture is to educate others on the power of holistic healing and the body’s intrinsic ability to restore itself. Each treatment is individualized to each person as a whole, not solely based on the presented symptoms; with the aim of improving one’s overall quality of life.
